Mother Nature is calling
Our mantra is to create better things in a better way…
Above comfort, Beyond luxury
Simplicity in design: Nothing flashy with senseless details. The whole of our focus is on providing the world’s most comfortable and healthy mattress, made naturally and designed practically.
Confidence in comfort: Trying is believing. Try our mattress for 100 days, and if you are not satisfied the sleep, we take it back. No questions asked.
Natural: We don’t trust synthetic mattresses, nor should you! Unlike other mattress companies, we don’t overlook mother nature’s materials.
Craftsmanship: The cloudy white material from the tree is collected by preciously cutting 0.84 cm thin strip of bark and waiting for the latex to drip out slowly into the container. This painstaking process takes about 3 hours to fill less than a cup of latex.
Sustainability: One single mattress requires a huge amount of latex. However, it can be tapped without killing trees or creating pollution. We remember how important trees are for the environment. Moreover, this process creates employment in areas where jobs could be scarce.
Social impact: Giving back to our community is a privilege we never take for granted. We donate one mattress for every ten we sell and plant a tree for every mattress sold.
Plenty of sleep on a regular basis ensures a positive impact on all areas of your life. You become more productive, happier, and relaxed. Additionally, you are more alert and energetic.
However, despite these advantages, the majority of us isn’t getting as much quality sleep as we should, resulting in putting our health and happiness at stake. One of the most common reasons for not getting quality sleep is your old and worn out mattress which doesn’t offer the comfort and support you need.
Moreover, it is assumed that your troubled sleep is an after effect of your lifestyle. You invest a lot of time and money in solutions but you are unable to find any. Ever been in this situation? This is the guide for you.
Why a MorningOwl organic latex mattress
Following is the ‘Henry Ford-ed’ concept of the mattress industry.
“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse.”
Over the last few years, natural latex mattress has become an absolute favourite of many people with back problems. A study in Applied Agronomics stated that the best mattress for the back is the one that contours to the body to ensure pressure distribution and proper spine alignment. Latex mattresses are proved incredibly effective in relieving pressure points which makes it ideal for the back. Besides this, a 2010 study shows that the body tends to move an average of 40-60 times while sleeping. The result of this study was that a mattress which doesn’t hinder these natural movements is something of extreme importance. Thankfully, natural latex mattress comes with an elasticity which lets you toss and turn during the sleep without any hindrance.
Another result that the study came up with is that latex is essentially the best mattress for back pain in comparison to the memory foam. The following pages are your introduction to MorningOwl latex mattresses – the most comfortable, supportive, and durable mattresses available. These pages will let you learn a lot about how these unique mattresses are created from natural materials and, most importantly, how to go about choosing one of your own. Thousands of people all over the UK and Europe have received our assistance to choose their ideal mattresses and we have heard time and again what difference these mattresses have made to their quality of life.
We are confident that once you experience the benefits of a latex mattress yourself, you’ll wholeheartedly agree that they represent a wonderful investment in your long-term quality of life. And before you know it, sleepless nights will be a thing of past!
Why choose a natural latex mattress?
Each one of us deserve a proper rest at night after a super hectic day. Immediate action is required if you are not able to get it. There could be a number of reasons for not getting enough sleep. Your mattress is one of them. A wrong mattress can lead you to have joint pains and body aches. All of these factors come together and diminish your strength to face the next day. You don’t want that, do you?
A latex mattress supports your body by enabling your spine, joints, and muscles to relax naturally and ensure that you don’t wake up even more tired than you were before sleeping
Some of the other benefits of a natural latex mattress are:
• Durability: Because of its flexibility, absorbing capability, stability, and its ability to regulate heat and moisture, natural latex mattress is the most durable. This mattress will hold its original shape for at least 20 years without forming any “dips and valleys”.
• No motion transfer: While sleeping with a partner, the movement on one side of the mattress does not result in movement on the other side. Therefore, your sleep is not disturbed by the person on the other side of the mattress.
• Supportive: A natural latex mattress moulds according to your body shape. This reduces pressure points, promotes blood circulation, relieves back, neck and shoulder pain, and reduces swelling of legs and ankles.
• Kind to the environment: The mattress is extracted from the sap of the Hevea Brasiliensis (rubber tree). The rubber breaks down at the end of the mattress life cycle as it is a natural biodegradable substance. Being natural, this mattress is anti-bacterial, non-allergenic, dust mite resistant, and fungus free. Thus, it is a perfect pick for asthma and allergy sufferers.
After knowing about all the benefits that a natural latex mattress gives, what else are you waiting for? Get one yourself and enjoy a restful night.
Is latex better than memory foam?
It is commonly assumed that latex and memory foam are the same thing.
However, in reality, they are complete opposites. Latex actually outperforms memory foam in every way.
Latex is 100% natural while memory foam is made from chemicals. Latex is seven times breathable than memory foam. Additionally, latex is supportive and pressure relieving, while memory foam has only pressure-relieving quality.
You tend to sink into a memory foam which makes it extremely difficult to move, while latex keeps you on the top allowing the necessary movements.
Latex is healthier, free of dust mites, mould, and mildew, making it ideal for allergy sufferers.
What is it made of?
The white milk: The nectar of nature
Latex is a milky white liquid extracted from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree (the rubber tree). The tree is native to South America and was spread around the world in the 19th century because of its great value.
Latex is found as a milky fluid in 10% of all flowering plants (angiosperms). The emulsion consists of proteins, alkaloids, starch, sugar, oils, tannins, resins, and gums that coagulate on exposure to air. Latex should not be confused with plant sap; it is a separate substance, separately produced, and with separate functions.
Are all natural latex same?
No, they are not.
Even natural latex can contain fillers. Companies tend to call latex, natural latex as long as there is a certain percentage of natural latex in the synthetic blend. Thus, while shopping, it is very important to make sure that the mattress is made of 100% natural latex. The cost of 100% natural latex is relatively higher but the durability and health benefits are worth every penny.
After tapping the rubber trees, the latex is either manufactured into a product through a Dunlop or Talalay process. Before the finished latex mixture is poured into moulds, the latex can have fillers, such as polyurethane and other chemicals to cut down on cost. This produces a synthetic latex as a final product. It is a blend of latex and fillers which makes it less durable and more carcinogenic.
